Livelihood and Marketability- a focus on Producers/Entrepreneurs
This theme investigates livelihood outcomes of green charcoal producers and entrepreneurs. The focus is on the drive for financial inclusion and sustainable livelihoods amongst marginalized groups.
The development of sustainable value chains in the context of green charcoal marketability and livelihoods is being explored, and the competitiveness of the green charcoal innovation is being investigated.
Outcome of WP3:
The value chain organizing the production, trade and consumption of briquettes is scientifically documented and understood by stakeholders.
Recommendations are made to improve the production and marketability of briquettes and to support job creation and entrepreneurs.

- Research report on the value chain mapping of green charcoal production
- Research report on livelihood enhancement and marketability of green charcoal
- Research reports on factors for the successful uptake of new practices,
- Sustainable business models for the green charcoal value chain.
